The original capital of the Norman Foundation, Inc. was provided by the late Aaron E. Norman and has been augmented by his descendants. A New York Membership Corporation, its members and directors are the descendants of Aaron E. Norman. The Foundation's charter permits it to support virtually any activity recognized as charitable by federal and state law.

Incorporated under the Not-For-Profit Corporation Law of the State of New York as the Norman Foundation, Inc. in 1970. This foundation has no connection to any other "Norman Foundations," located in other parts of the country.
